Nokia Asha 501Nokia Asha 501 was recently launched in India. It is the first smartphone to operate on Asha platform. Apart from providing faster and responsive experience, the new device will help the developers to create, publish and make more money from apps made specifically for the new generation of Asha devices, Nokia claimed.

The Asha 501, which will be built in India, will roll out to 90 countries by June and will cost USD 99 (about Rs. 5,350) excluding taxes. The phone will use a new software that allows users to multitask between built in applications for popular social media sites.

Outlook
With its low-end specs, down-market price, and 2G connectivity, the Nokia Asha 501 really isn't aimed at those of you who crave the Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One. Instead, it's aimed squarely at developing markets like India and Latin America.
